A multi-room fort my husband built for the boys during a crazy week-long heat wave..
E and I celebrating his catch of one of the many hot dogs thrown into the stands at the Vermont Lake Monsters vs. the Staten Island Yankees. Yes, it was wrapped. Thank god.
The boys watch the warm up. E is ready with his glove should any more hot dogs fly...
A friend and I blow bubbles at a backyard barbecue...
and C tries to share...
and my handsome husband takes amazing pictures of sunsets over the lake, like this.We have been busy up here in the northeast so far this summer, and the really crazy part is just beginning.
In the next few weeks I have to finish and send out my submissions for STUFFED magazine and PlushYou! Seattle, figure out if I can manage a piece for the South End Art Hop (sadly, I doubt it), keep up with the Artist Market, and find out if I got in to Twist this winter (and if so, figure out how to manage the vendor fee AND a hotel).
Then, and only then, I can go to the beach with my family!!
I think I can I think I can I think I can!!!!
In other news.. My cinnamon buns were featured on Cuteable.com a few weeks ago!!!

Your summer looks like so much fun: possibly the best fort ever, flying hot dogs, bubbles, the lake (gorgeous photo, Sam)... I hope you can fit in a few creemees, too, and good luck with all that work!
kate! i forgot to mention running into our terrific long lost neighbor of course!
You're one busy lady. What do you mean South End Art Hop you doubt it. You can do it! You could always just display a few of the awesome guys you already make. Also, there's supposed to be an "Extravaganza" thing that I guess is like a craft show? Clearly I don't know all the details, but you should be there.
I think You can too. Kids are awesome. And the sunset photo is amazing.
thanks everyone! i'm doing my best. sort of. i'm kind of a hopeless slacker at heart and find myself doing things like taking a walk or going to the beach when i should be working. damn you summer!!
Thanks a lot for following me. I am much surprised, and as a token of love I would like to follow yours too.
